Citizen Mubarak Hamid Al-Derai (21 years old) succeeded in passing the academic program of the Royal Military Sandhurst Academy, in the United Kingdom, to join the ranks of the graduates who preceded him in achieving this achievement.

When graduation time came, and the student Mubarak’s name echoed loudly, his mother, Hala Hammoud Al-Afari (60 years old), was standing on the opposite side, witnessing this exceptional occasion in her son’s life career.

The mother’s memory began to recover the hardships that she had gone through before reaching this moment, as she found herself demanding that the mother and father be to (Mubarak), who lost his father before he was eleven years old, so she decided to take upon herself the task of caring for him and instilling high principles in him, and supporting him until it is difficult His path, and achieve all his goals

When her goal was achieved for her, the whole world had received the emerging corona virus pandemic, and the mother found herself facing difficulties of another kind, as a result of the precautionary measures taken by the countries of the world to confront the pandemic, but she decided to bypass them as she always did.

(Umm Mubarak) was able to reach her son's graduation ceremony on the specified date, to attend this precious occasion, and to continue supporting her son and standing by him.

Al-Afari proudly represented the Emirati woman, in her traditional dress, as she set foot on the grounds of one of the most prestigious military colleges in the world.

(Mubarak) said to Emirates Today that the feelings of pride that filled him, as he saw the happiness of his mother, were priceless.

He explained that he resides in Al-Qu`a area in Al-Ain city, and graduated from Al-Qu`a secondary school in 2017, after which he joined the national service.

He said: “I conducted interviews for national service recruits, and then I joined Zayed II Military College directly, where the English language test was taken for the college’s candidates, and I passed it successfully, and after that we were entered in the physical fitness test, which was taken on the British approach, and I also passed it successfully. Then, with the nominated students, I passed the essay test for information about the Sandhurst Military Academy, and I succeeded in joining the Academy, after selecting nine students out of 1000 students. My joy was indescribable when I learned that I am one of the students included in the decision to join the Academy. ”

He added: “I faced many challenges after joining the academy, and during the path I made towards graduation, I found myself living in an unfamiliar atmosphere and weather, in addition to the alienation and nature of life there, because we were training in the forests, and this was a challenge for me and my fellow Emirati students, where we spent nine Months before we graduated ».

He said: “The memory of this occasion will remain in my memory until the last day of my life, especially as it was decorated in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, as this gave great confidence to Emirati candidates, but also to students of various nationalities, I felt a special pride, as I was always talking with my fellow students about the achievements of His Highness, both internally and externally, and I assure them that he is considered the father and our leader, and they were eager to see His Highness. ”

He explained: “I was very pleased with my mother and family members attending my graduation ceremony in London, as my mother faced health risks due to her age of nearly 60 years, and the precautionary measures taken in all countries of the world to confront the Coronavirus pandemic, including quarantine measures in London and the UAE. After returning, knowing that my mother is considered my father and mother, because my father has passed away since 2010, and I was 11 years old at the time, as she raised me and taught the Emirati tradition and virtuous morals, until she saw the fruits of her upbringing by graduating from the most prestigious military academies in the world, and as I raised my head In raising her, she raised her head proudly and she saw my success with her eyes.

On her part, Mubarak's mother, Hala Al-Afari, said that her husband left our world, leaving behind seven boys and five girls, so she relied on raising her sons and daughters on the approach of fathers and grandfathers, and instilled in them the good qualities and authentic Emirati traditions.

She explained that (Mubarak) studied in Al-Qu`a area in Al-Ain, and that he raised her head during the various stages of his studies, and said: “It was not possible for me to miss the moment of his graduation, despite the difficulties I faced on my way, because my presence with him on this occasion represents untold happiness for me. , I have overcome the obstacles of the new Corona virus pandemic and quarantine, and I had complete certainty and belief that only what God had decreed would affect us.

She added, "My joy was overwhelming when I arrived at the venue and saw (Mubarak), as I saw the fruit of my upbringing as he stood in the ranks of the graduates, and the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was a special honor for the students and their families.

She said that she attended the graduation ceremony wearing the traditional Emirati dress “so that the world would witness that we Emirati mothers bring forth generations that their beloved country will be proud of in front of the world. It is also a clear message that confirms to the world that Emirati women give birth to nothing but falcons who offer their souls as a sacrifice to our sheikhs and our dear country.”

She added, “I thank His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President and Crown Prince of the State His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, for their unlimited support for us and our students, and I also thank those in charge. The country's embassy in London, their efforts and their initiative must meet all our needs.
