Berlin (dpa) - The “Closed for tomorrow” campaign wants to help the culture, club and restaurant scene suffering from the corona pandemic.

This includes a video that was shot in empty Berlin institutions, including the Delphi Theater, the Metropol and the Club Tresor.

A receipt printer throws out empty receipts in the post - as a symbol of missing sales and ongoing fixed costs.

"Despite the aid programs that have started, many companies are still struggling to survive," the initiators said on Thursday.

According to the announcement, the Berlin digital agency Buddybrand is behind the campaign in addition to the United We stream solidarity campaign.

The aim is to bring more support to initiatives such as United We Stream, #Alarmstuferot and Kiezretter.

A website has tips on how to help: “Pay for digital concerts”, “Get some great take-away food” or “Donate to the club scene”.

In the capital, the club culture is a figurehead and a tourist attraction.

For nine months, the nightlife has largely been on a forced break due to the corona requirements.

In the summer, part of the party shifted to the parks, and some clubs used their beer gardens.

The most famous of the clubs, Berghain, became the site of an art exhibition.

But like the museums, it is now also closed due to Corona.
