Mainz (dpa / lrs) - A truck got stuck in Mainz-Mombach with a permanently installed crane on a railway bridge and brought rail traffic to and from Wiesbaden to a standstill for several hours.
As the fire brigade announced on Wednesday, the crane was not properly retracted.
As a result, the bridge was slightly damaged and an iron railing was pushed towards the track bed.
According to a railway spokesman, the route was closed for around three and a half hours.
According to the fire brigade, the crane boom had to be cut free with a motor power cutter because it was wedged in the bridge railing.
