Detmold (dpa / lnw) - According to the Evangelical Regional Church of Westphalia, the Lippe Regional Church also advised against attendance at church services during the Christmas holidays on Wednesday due to the corona pandemic.
The Lippe Regional Church recommends its parishes "urgently to cancel all attendance services from now until January 10," the church said.
"This applies to church services both indoors and outdoors."
In view of the development of the number of infections at the federal level, the continued high incidence number for Lippe and the fact that many clinics have reached their limit, the church leadership decided to take this step. It is true that the churches are still allowed to celebrate religious services due to religious freedom. But the Lippische Landeskirche wants to contribute with its recommendation to further limit contacts.
