Hanau (dpa / lhe) - In view of the increasing number of deaths in connection with the corona virus, a refrigerated container in Hanau has to be used for the first time.
The container in the main cemetery is used for two people who have died with or from the consequences of Covid-19.
The cooling capacities in both Hanau hospitals are exhausted, said Mayor Claus Kaminsky (SPD) on Wednesday.
He spoke of a further exacerbated pandemic.
The refrigerated container had already been installed in April of this year by the city's own company Hanau Infrastructure Service, but had not yet been used.
According to the latest figures from the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs, the Main-Kinzig district as a whole, in which Hanau is located, has a seven-day incidence of 247.2.
