The European Commission yesterday presented an unprecedented plan to try to counter the growing power of the digital giants, the GAFA in particular (Google, Amazon, Facebook, Apple).

In this plan, there are obligations and prohibitions to be observed;

there are also sanctions presented as dissuasive.

The stake for Europe is both crucial and delicate: it is a question of protecting its consumers and offering them better services, while managing to stimulate competition and control the growing power of GAFA.

The GAFA which are therefore in the sights of the States - and not only Europeans.

Even the United States is attacking them.
