December 16, 2020 Two former presidents of the Valle d'Aosta Region are being investigated for external competition in the mafia association: Renzo Testolin, current regional councilor of the Union valdotaine, and Laurent Viérin, with the former regional councilor Luca Bianchi.

A due deed by the Dda of Turin, after the transmission of the documents of the sentence of the Geenna trial by the Court of Aosta, which indicates "evidence of the crime" against them.

They were registered in the Egomnia investigation file on the 2018 regional elections.

Morra: "

Dejecting

situation"

Only yesterday the president of the Parliamentary Anti-Mafia Commission spoke on the Valle d'Aosta "case", regarding the prefectural attributions to the President of the Region.

Morra says in a video posted on Facebook: "The hypothesis that the president of the Region, as well as prefect, is also somehow controlled by the 'Ndrangheta, is disheartening".

The reference is, in fact, to the recent motivations of the Geenna sentence on the presence of the 'Ndrangheta in Aosta.

Morra stressed that "in Valle d'Aosta the president of the Region, a political mandate, coincides with the Prefect, an administrative mandate" and if "the president of the Region is elected thanks to the votes of the 'Ndrangheta and then chairs the Committee for 'order and public safety, there will be some problems ".
