China News Service, December 15, according to the Hubei Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection: Xu Honglan, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Mayor of Wuhan Municipal People's Government, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision by the Hubei Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection.

Xu Honglan, female, Han nationality, was born in July 1966 in Honghu, Hubei, with a master's degree. She started working in July 1988 and joined the Communist Party of China in June 1987.
From October 2000 to December 2005, served as deputy secretary of the Wuhan Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League and member of the Party Leadership Group;
From December 2005 to July 2006, served as Deputy Secretary of the Wuhan Municipal Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Communist Youth League;
From July 2006 to September 2011, served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Wuchang District Party Committee and Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of Wuhan City;
From September 2011 to June 2015, served as deputy secretary, acting district head, and district head of Hanyang District Party Committee of Wuhan;
From June 2015 to December 2016, served as secretary of the Hanyang District Party Committee of Wuhan;
From December 2016 to May 2017, served as Secretary of the Hanyang District Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the District People’s Congress in Wuhan;
Since May 2017, he has served as a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Mayor of Wuhan Municipal People's Government.
