Halle (dpa / sa) - The man who is said to have kidnapped a six-year-old girl on St. Nicholas morning in Halle and thrown into the hall should be examined by a specialist.

It is about the question of whether the suspect is guilty, said prosecutor Klaus Wiechmann on Tuesday.

A corresponding application has already been made.

There is already a possible expert.

The 24-year-old has been in custody for a few days.

So far he has been silent about the allegations.

According to the investigation, the six-year-old was seen in the family home at around 7:30 a.m. on December 6th.

When her disappearance was noticed, she was reported missing.

The suspect is said to have carried the child mostly in his arms through Halle's city center.

The girl was only wearing pajamas in the cool temperatures.

Around 8:30 a.m., the child was found by two joggers in the hall and pulled out.

The girl was then taken to a hospital.

To protect the child and the family, no further information on the condition of the six-year-old could be made, as Wiechmann said on Tuesday.

The suspect is accused of attempted murder to cover up a crime, kidnapping and sexual abuse of children.

Last Friday, the police arrested the suspect at his workplace.

After the search with a phantom image, numerous clues were received.

Recordings from surveillance cameras also led to the man.

A nine-member investigation team called "Elsa" had previously dealt intensively with the case.
