The Singaporean government has decided to exempt short-term travelers for less than 14 days from quarantine from mid- to late January next year, regardless of nationality.

The Singapore Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has announced a special immigration procedure with the main content of the short-term quarantine exemption for businessmen and others.

However, eligible short-term business travelers must be tested for Corona 19 before and immediately after entering the country, stay in a designated exclusive accommodation and continue to be tested for Corona 19 every other day during their stay.

In addition, if you live in Singapore or meet a business partner from another country, you will need to use a separate space completely enclosed by a transparent screen on both sides.

Singaporean authorities have also decided to consider expanding these special immigration procedures for medical or family visits.

Special entry applications for short-term travelers will be accepted from next year, and accommodations designated for short-term travelers will be set up at the Singapore Expo, 5 minutes away by car from Changi International Airport.

Singapore has previously allowed visitors from Brunei, New Zealand, Vietnam, China and Australia to undergo a gene amplification test at the airport and then perform activities without self-isolation if they test negative for COVID-19.
