According to a report by the Japan Broadcasting Association (NHK) on the 15th, Japan’s Mitsubishi Electric said recently that the company had exported a large number of non-compliant products to European car companies for 3 years. A large number of false documents were also forged when exporting these products.

  According to reports, from June 2017 to October 2020, Mitsubishi Electric exported about 335,000 car audio parts to European car companies.

The report pointed out that Europe began to implement new regulations for radio equipment in June 2017, but this batch of parts from Mitsubishi Electric did not meet the new regulations and therefore belonged to non-compliant products.

  According to the report, in order to continue to export these non-compliant parts to European car companies, Mitsubishi Electric provided the latter with forged documents, claiming that its exported products "complied with regulations."

What's more, when Mitsubishi Electric undergoes local inspections, it will also modify non-compliant parts to get through.

  In this regard, Mitsubishi Electric stated that “it has caused great trouble to customers and related personnel. We apologize for this and will work hard to prevent similar incidents from happening again.” At the same time, the company also stated that it will further investigate the factual relationship and will The employees involved will be punished.
