In the footsteps of corona - lower rent increase at Vätterhem next year

The largest municipal housing company in the county, Vätterhem in Jönköping, is the first to agree on next year's rents with the tenants' association in the county.

The negotiations have been marked by the corona pandemic.

Vätterhem issued an unusually low starting bid of a 1.29 percent rent increase, while the tenants' association nationally demanded frozen rents.

The result was a 1.15 percent rent increase, which means a SEK 75 increase for an apartment that currently has a rent of SEK 6,000.
