It is noted that the territorial bodies of the FAS and the central office collect and process data and applications from citizens on the dynamics of prices for such food products.

The FAS said that an action plan has been prepared in case of non-execution or delay in the execution of decisions to reduce prices, including conducting unscheduled inspections and initiating cases of violation of the law.

It is also reported that interaction with the prosecutor's office has been ensured to jointly identify and suppress violations of the law when setting prices for certain types of food.

Earlier, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Viktor Evtukhov said that Fixed prices for butter and sugar are being introduced in all regions of Russia within the Urals.

According to him, correction factors will be introduced for Siberia, the Far East and the Far North.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a resolution to stabilize the situation on the food market. 

Before that, Russian leader Vladimir Putin called the increase in food prices unacceptable and demanded a prompt response.
