The Governing Council of the Community of Madrid is going to process a decree tomorrow to raise the duration of educational concerts in the region to ten years, currently more than 500. The measure is an order of the Government of Isabel Díaz Ayuso to the Celáa law , since it will allow shielding the current educational concerts until 2027 instead of until 2023 and they will not be affected by the controversial law.

The regional president has advanced it after the signing of a

general protocol of action with the large distribution areas to promote the consumption of food in Madrid at Christmas.

Díaz Ayuso explained that, according to the Organic Law of Education, the autonomous communities can increase the duration of the concerts of the schools, which until now in Madrid are for six years.

"We have decided that to give greater security to the families that opt for the concerted one we are going to extend these concerts up to ten years,

so that they will not expire in two, but within six," said the head of the Madrid Executive .

In this way, he pointed out, families will have more time to continue freely opting for this educational model, which, according to Madrid, is attacked by the new educational law of the Pedro Sánchez Government, which prevents that if there is social demand, more arranged places as it happens until now.

Díaz Ayuso has pointed out that "the duration of compulsory education is currently ten years" and, therefore, it is "very successful" to extend this period of

validity of the concerts to give Madrid families more guarantees.

"We want to guarantee the freedom of choice for families in educational matters, but also in health, in commerce, in business. For this reason, we show the firm commitment of this Government to freedom, to entrepreneurship and to the fact that all citizens who come from any corner of the world to undertake, they will do so in a territory of legal security, freedom, business respect and help, "said Ayuso.

"Wherever possible we will make the administration more flexible, we will eliminate procedures that are anachronistic and that only weigh down employment," the president concluded.
