The facts go back to January and took place in Saint-Jean-de-Boiseau, west of Nantes.

On Monday, a 19-year-old young man was arrested by the gendarmerie in Saint-Herblain for injuring several people with a knife.

On the night of the events, against a background of alcohol, he allegedly burst into an apartment where a birthday party was being held, in the presence of about thirty guests.

Accompanied by twenty other people and armed with a knife, the suspect allegedly injured three of the guests, whom he did not know.

Placed under judicial supervision

According to the gendarmerie, a 16-year-old teenager had notably been injured in the thorax, side and arm while he was trying to protect himself.

A second was punched and stabbed in the left thigh.

A third had been hit in the face and injured by two stab wounds, one in the neck and the other in the back.

The victims received between one day and three weeks of ITT.

Suspected of being the author of the stabbing, the young man was to be tried in immediate appearance on Tuesday.

The hearing was postponed until February.

In the meantime, the suspect has been placed under judicial supervision.
