After finding a woman's body: arrest warrant against husband

Seesen (dpa / lni) - After the violent death of a 50-year-old woman in Seesen (Goslar district), an arrest warrant was issued against the 56-year-old husband.

There is an urgent suspicion, said the spokesman for the Braunschweig public prosecutor, Hans Christian Wolters, on Tuesday.

First the "Goslarsche Zeitung" reported.

Accordingly, the woman was found dead in her apartment on Monday.

A relative had called the emergency number.

There was initially no trace of the husband who lived in the apartment with his wife.

He reported to the police shortly afterwards and was arrested.

An autopsy revealed that the woman was killed by "external violence". The public prosecutor's office did not disclose the exact cause for tactical reasons. The suspect is in custody. So far, the man has not confessed, said the prosecutor. The motive is also still unclear.
