Twenty years after the tournament, a silver medal was delivered to a former Brazilian player who participated in the Sydney Olympics 400m relay on land and the team won the silver medal but did not receive the medal by mistake, and the award ceremony was held.

The silver medal was received by former track and field sprinter Claugio Roberto (47).

Roberto participated in the 2000 Sydney Olympics as a member of the 400m relay on land and ran as an anchor in the first qualifying.

Although he was not a member of the relay in the final, the Brazilian team was second only to the United States, and Roberto, who participated in the qualifying, was supposed to be awarded a silver medal.

However, due to a mistake by the Olympic Organizing Committee, Roberto's silver medal was not prepared and he could not receive the medal in Sydney.

After that, Roberto returned to Brazil and asked him to send silver medals over and over again, but 20 years had passed without it.

Then, at the time of the Tokyo Olympics, the local media took the lead in signing activities to deliver the medal to Mr. Roberto, and on the 13th, the silver medal arrived in Brazil.

Roberto, who attended the medal award ceremony, said, "I've dreamed of receiving a silver medal for 20 years. I want to decorate it in a special place in my house."
