With our correspondent in Kinshasa,

Patient Ligodi

Félix Tshisekedi appeared before the deputies and senators in a context

marked by the end of the coalition he composed with the FCC

, the platform of his predecessor

Joseph Kabila

.

He didn't make a big announcement.

He contented himself with drawing up a mixed assessment of government action for the current year.

According to him, the dysfunction of the alliance he had forged with his predecessor Joseph Kabila did not make it possible to achieve the objectives set at the start of his five-year term.

“

Despite the efforts I have made, the sacrifices I have made and the humiliations I have tolerated, it has not been enough to make this coalition work smoothly.

This has not prevented the emergence of difficulties of all kinds within it, making it uncertain whether the change so demanded by our people will materialize,

 ”he declared.

To correct the situation, he announced that he would "

proceed with the formation of a government for the sacred union of the nation which will work in harmony with the head of state

" at the end of the work of the informant.

Soon to be appointed, this informant

will be tasked with identifying a new majority coalition in the National Assembly.

It will also be up to this new government to implement the reforms resulting from the political consultations that it had carried out for about three weeks.
