The company clarified that no employees in the Flushing store were infected with the virus and that the store was closed for thorough cleaning.

  According to online news, after an employee of Dechang Meat Company was infected with the epidemic, the owner continued to open the Flushing store until December 12 before preparing to close it.

A representative of Dechang Meat Company subsequently clarified in the WeChat group: “No one of Flushing employees has been infected so far. On December 12, the Japanese store will indeed be closed for a few days for a major cleaning and every Dechang employee will be tested. To ensure that customers can enter Dechang to buy at ease, and employees can go to work at ease."

  The reporter saw on the 12th that the rolling shutter door of Dechang Flushing store was locked.

A notice was also posted on the glass door of the store saying that the store was closed for cleaning and staff testing, but did not specify when it would reopen.
