Her name is Sandra Lindsay and she is the chief nurse of the intensive care unit at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York: she is the first person to have received the Pfizer / BioNTech anti-Covid vaccine.
The USA today launched the vaccination campaign on healthcare personnel and nursing home staff.
The African-American operator received the first dose of the serum live on television.
According to ABC reports, one of the first people vaccinated is a doctor from Northwell Lij Medical Center on Long Island.
