Munich (AP) - FC Bayern Munich has to plan for the last home game of the year in the Bundesliga against VfL Wolfsburg this Wednesday without national player Leon Goretzka.

The 25-year-old midfielder took a break from training on Monday.

Goretzka was replaced at the weekend in the 1-1 draw of the German record champions against 1. FC Union.

"He felt a bit during the sprint," said coach Hansi Flick.

After the game against Wolfsburg on Wednesday, Bayern will have to play the top game against the new league leaders Bayer 04 Leverkusen next Saturday.

There was good news for Bayern on Monday from Joshua Kimmich.

The national player took part in team training for the first time after his operation on the lateral meniscus of the right knee.

Defender Niklas Süle, who missed Union Berlin due to a thigh contusion, was also able to train.

He should be back in the last two league games before the short Christmas vacation.
