Schwerin (dpa / mv) - In a trial for multiple sexual abuse of a boy from Wismar, the public prosecutor has applied for five years and one month in prison for the accused.

She saw it as proven on Monday in front of the Schwerin regional court that the 64-year-old man allegedly offended the initially eleven-year-old child in seven cases in 2013.

In addition, he is said to have violated the management supervision imposed on him many times since 2018.

In the meantime, the defendant has been detained for almost three years for other related offenses. The defense essentially requested an acquittal because the boy's statements were not readily credible. The defendant had admitted consensual sexual contact with the boy during the trial when he was older than 16 years old. The verdict is due to be announced on Thursday.
