Mannheim (dpa) - The Rhein-Neckar Löwen have gambled away a possible victory in the top game of the handball Bundesliga against SG Flensburg-Handewitt, but took over the championship lead by 31:31 (19:13).
In the chase duel against the runner-up on Sunday, the Mannheim team gave up a seven-goal lead at the beginning of the second half, but overtook the free THW Kiel (18: 2) with 19: 3 points.
The record champion is currently in quarantine due to several positive corona cases.
