Parliament voted at the end of November to create a "CDI inclusion".

This new specific employment contract targets seniors over 57 years away from employment.

It can be used by the structures of integration through economic activity to help this public very affected by unemployment.

More than ever with the coronavirus crisis, which has become an economic crisis, it is the two extremes of the spectrum of working people who are toasting: young people and employees approaching retirement age are precarious in the labor market.

For the latter, it is especially the return to employment that is the most difficult in the event of job loss.

The number of unemployed over 50 has almost doubled in ten years.

To help them, parliament voted last week to set up a "CDI inclusion".

Concretely, the structures of integration through economic activity (companies, workshops and construction sites, associations), which have signed a public financial assistance contract with the State, and are around 4,000 in France, will be able to call on employees aged 57 and over via this CDI.

A specific career path and professional support will be defined with these employees, who are the furthest from employment, until their retirement.

This allows them to acquire additional rights.

Decrees pending

Until now, those over 50 had already had the possibility of being recruited in this way, but only for limited periods, of two years maximum.

This "CDI inclusion" therefore makes it possible to go further.

In addition, there are already so-called "senior" fixed-term contracts for those over 50, which any company can appeal to by obtaining state aid, but their duration is again limited to 18 months renewable once.

Certain terms of the "CDI inclusion", in particular the age limit beyond which it cannot be deployed, still have to be specified by decree.
