New rules for registration of sick leave come into force in Russia

It is noted that from December 14, it will be possible to issue an electronic sick leave along with a hard copy.

A paper version of a hospital medical institution will be able to issue upon presentation of an identity document; when registering an electronic one, you will also need SNILS.

It is reported that according to the new rules, with the threat of the spread of diseases that pose a danger to others, it will be possible to issue certificates of incapacity for work remotely, using telemedicine consultations.

Also, all organizations with a license for medical activity will be able to issue sick leave, including paramedics, if they are entrusted with the functions of an attending physician, and dentists, but doctors of ambulance units cannot write out certificates of incapacity for work.

Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the Cabinet is introducing a new procedure for the payment of sick leave and maternity benefits, they will be transferred to citizens directly from the Social Insurance Fund, and not through the employer.

Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor and Social Policy Yaroslav Nilov, in an interview with the NSN, commented on the new procedure for payments on sick leave.
