Balingen (AP) - SC Magdeburg has celebrated a big win in the handball Bundesliga.
At HBW Balingen-Weilstetten, the Elbestädter won on Sunday with 39:26 (20:17).
Lukas Mertens (8) was the best thrower at SCM, while Marcel Niemeyer (7) met the most frequently at Balingen.
Magdeburg came into play with difficulty, ran into counter attacks several times due to technical errors (4: 6/7.).
Even defensively, Zeljko Musa was on his own at the circle - but the hosts could not pull away.
After mistakes by the opponent, the SCM turned the game around and took five hits (17: 12/22.).
At halftime, however, Balingen shortened.
Magdeburg came out of the locker room with focus and increased the lead to six goals (24: 18/36.).
Even a break for the Balinger did not change anything in the good offensive game of the Magdeburg, where Marko Bezjak shone again and again with great allusions.
So the game was decided practically a quarter of an hour before the end (31: 21/47.).
