In addition, the National Authority for Regulating Professions and Health Services in Bahrain announced, in a statement yesterday, its approval of the official registration of the anti-Corona virus vaccine produced by the Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinopharm.

The statement did not specify which vaccine was approved from among the two vaccines produced by Sinopharma, but it cited data from the third phase of clinical trials that showed «the effectiveness of the vaccine by 86% against infection with the Coronavirus».

The statement stated that “Bahrain has participated in clinical trials of the vaccine as part of the Campaign for Humanity, where more than 7,700 volunteers participated in the third phase trials.

The authority has previously authorized the emergency use of the vaccine.
