Berlin (dpa / bb) - Foxes trainer Jaron Siewert was completely satisfied on Saturday evening after the clear 34:23 success in Ludwigshafen.

«That was played very consistently by us.

And very dominant over long stretches, ”said Siewert.

For the foxes it was the fourth victory in a row in the handball Bundesliga after the corona quarantine at the beginning of November.

Siewert was particularly pleased that his team in Ludwigshafen finally stayed constant for over 60 minutes and thus achieved the highest win of the season.

"In spite of the distribution of forces, everyone fulfilled their role very well and everyone was responsible for the result," praised the coach.

Despite many changes in the game, there was no break in the rhythm.

And no slacking off.

"These are steps in the right direction," said the 26-year-old youngest league coach.

Siewert was particularly impressed by the defense in recent weeks.

“I think it's good what we do in defense.

The inner block always finds each other better.

This then also exudes a certain security in attack.

So we don't have to score every attack, ”he said.

And yet Siewert still sees room for improvement.

“There is still a lot of air up to our maximum.

You can actually go through almost every player who still has development potential, ”he said.

But he doesn't want to blame his players for that.

Because despite the increasing form, the forced breaks due to corona or injuries are still noticeable for some players.

"But how are they supposed to be at 100 percent now," Siewert said.

The next challenge awaits the foxes on Tuesday.

Then it's at home against TVB Stuttgart (6 p.m. / Sky).
