Steinigtwolmsdorf (dpa / sn) - A fire truck from the fire brigade hit a cyclist on Saturday in Steinigtwolmsdorf (Görlitz district) and seriously injured him.
The 43-year-old wanted to drive around the truck, which was driving backwards a short distance on the main street in the Weifa district, as the Görlitz police announced on Sunday.
When the vehicle turned into a property driveway, it brushed the cyclist.
The man fell and his left arm was run over by the right rear wheel.
The cyclist was seriously injured and taken to hospital.
The traffic accident service determined.
