  Zhou Zhihuai, director of the Academic Committee of the Center for Taiwan and East Asian Studies at Central China Normal University, pointed out that deterring "Taiwan independence" separatist activities is the primary task of maintaining peace across the Taiwan Strait.

It is very difficult to eliminate risks across the Taiwan Strait in the short term. In order to maintain peace across the Taiwan Strait, while strengthening crisis management, both sides of the strait should do their utmost to reduce and resolve various risks, increase the intensity of cross-strait non-governmental exchanges, and deepen integration and development.

  Li Weiyi, dean of the Taiwan Research Institute of Beijing Union University, pointed out that adhering to the one-China principle and the "92 Consensus" is the political cornerstone for the stability and development of cross-strait relations.
