Imperial, Perrine Laffont won the two races of the weekend in mogul skiing in Idre Fjall (Sweden), imitated on Saturday by Benjamin Cavet.

The cross-country skiers were less successful in Davos (Switzerland).

- The bumps at the top -

Two victories in two competitions this weekend, so three out of three since the start of the season ... Olympic champion and three-time crystal globe holder in mogul skiing, Perrine Laffont tirelessly fills her trophy cabinet.

After her success in the "single" format on Saturday, Laffont (22) even had the luxury of dominating the parallel Sunday (table and eliminatory duels), a format that she likes a little less.

"I had the confidence at the start of the season. And I'm starting to have experience in parallel. I also changed my second jump on Sunday to gain even more speed (...) It's just great, c t is not so easy to keep the lead, to stay ahead again and again, "Laffont told AFP.

"And Saturday it was weird thanks to the double that had not been done for over 20 years!"

Indeed, the Blues managed the double on Saturday thanks to the second career victory of Benjamin Cavet (26), third in the general classification the last two winters.

"It's a great release for me, I arrived at the start of the season very fit thanks to a great summer in training. Then I missed the opening at Ruka (14th last week), so I was frustrated before arriving here, "he told AFP.

"I did a lot of podiums, now I need victories, that's my goal this year."

With a bizarre schedule, Cavet was on the other hand eliminated in his first round of parallel contested ... an hour after his victory on Saturday (the preliminary rounds were advanced by one day for the men).

- Frustration in Davos -

In the absence of skiers from the three Scandinavian countries, who refused to travel for health reasons, there was a blow to play for the Blues of cross-country skiing in Davos.

Huge favorite in the free sprint on Saturday, Lucas Chanavat crushed qualifying before being eliminated in the quarter-finals due to a fall.

Less bloody than last winter, his teammate Richard Jouve saved the day by making it to the final (5th).

The "distancers" collected places of honor on Sunday: Delphine Claudel finished 9th in the 10 km, Clément Parisse and Maurice Manificat 7th and 8th in the 15 km swallowed up by the Russians (4 in the first 4 places) including the winner Alexander Bolshunov, solid leader of the general.

No French were lined up for the World Ski Flying Championships in Planica (Slovenia) where the German Karl Geiger won on Saturday individually.
