Augsburg (AP) - FC Schalke 04 was unable to stop its seemingly endless winless series in the Bundesliga even in the 27th game.

At FC Augsburg, the team of coach Manuel Baum won 2: 2 (0: 1) on Sunday evening, but remains at the bottom of the table with four points.

The hosts took the lead through an own goal by Schalke Suat Serdar (32nd minute) before Benito Raman (52nd) and Nassim Boujellab (61st) turned the game around.

But Marco Richter (90th + 3) ensured the Augsburg draw in stoppage time, in which Florian Niederlechner had to leave the field with yellow-red (56th).

The game was overshadowed by a bad clash between Schalke striker Mark Uth in a header duel.

Uth had hit the floor with his head in the 10th minute and lay dazed.

As the club announced during the game, the 29-year-old was "approachable and stable".

Because of the treatment on the field, about 15 minutes were played in the first half.

The last league win to date was achieved by the Royal Blues last season: on January 17, 2020 in a 2-0 win against Mönchengladbach.
