US President Donald Trump announced that his battle against the results of the presidential elections has now begun, expressing sorrow for the Supreme Court’s decision to dismiss the lawsuit filed by the state of Texas against the election results in 4 states, in a move that US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi considered "right."

Trump said in a tweet on his Twitter account that the Supreme Court really failed him, then commented, saying, "There is neither wisdom nor courage."

He also considered in another tweet that he had achieved a landslide victory in the elections if only the legal votes were counted, and not all the fake voters and the fraud that miraculously emerged from everywhere, it is a stain, as he put it.

Twitter quickly placed a warning flag on the US president's tweet.

Ambiguity and support

Al-Jazeera correspondent in Washington, Nasser al-Husseini, said that the Americans woke up to these tweets, which were frequent within about an hour, indicating that Trump seemed to not want to lose sight of the lights.

Hosseini indicated that Trump's statements that the battle has now begun is unclear, as everyone now believes that the legal mechanisms that Trump and the White House had to challenge the election results practically ended with the recent Supreme Court decision.

Al-Jazeera correspondent pointed out that a number of states will witness demonstrations in support of Trump, expressing his belief that the US President will rely on the momentum of the earth and the momentum of his supporters from the Republican Party not to confront President-elect Joe Biden, but to not disappear from view and remain a prominent news headline.

Regarding the demonstrations in support of him, the US President said in a tweet, "Thousands are gathering today in Washington to demand an end to stealing the elections. I did not know about that, but I will continue."

Wow!

Thousands of people forming in Washington (DC) for Stop the Steal.

Didn't know about this, but I'll be seeing them!

Sued and refused

The US Supreme Court had rejected a lawsuit filed by the Attorney General of Texas, Ken Paxton, and it was supported by 17 other states in order to nullify the election results in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin.

The Supreme Court ruling stated that Texas had demonstrated no judicially recognized interest in the way another state conducted its elections.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court has agreed to hear legal arguments in President Donald Trump's campaign lawsuit seeking to disqualify more than 200,000 ballot papers and nullify Joe Biden's victory in the state.

The court decision came hours after a lower court judge ruled against Trump, who confirmed that there was no justification for a recount in the state's two largest counties.

Comment and Warning

Commenting on the move, US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that the Supreme Court was right to dismiss the Republican Party’s illegal suit to nullify the will of millions of voters.

She added that Republican lawmakers who signed a memorandum supporting efforts to reverse the results of the presidential election brought shame to the House of Representatives.

Pelosi warned in a letter that these people undermine the constitution and threaten to erode Americans' confidence in the most sacred democratic institutions in the United States, as she put it.

She said Republicans should immediately stop campaign plotting.

And 126 Republican lawmakers in Congress had signed a memorandum in support of the lawsuit filed by the Attorney General of Texas before the Supreme Court.

Democrat Joe Biden won the election after garnering 306 electoral votes compared to 232 votes for Trump, exceeding the required number of electoral college votes, which is at least 270 votes.

He refused to admit

Trump continues to refuse to admit his defeat to Biden, and asserts that the elections were stolen from him.

From the viewpoint of Al Jazeera Channel analyst for US elections and Newsweek writer Peter Rove, President Trump's options under the system are running out, indicating that Trump is trying to maintain the support of his supporters and keep their ranks united.

Rove expressed his belief that Trump really believes that the elections were stolen from him, and that it was these violations that helped achieve the results in Biden's favor, so he will not miss any opportunity to prove it.

As for Professor of Governance and Constitutional Law at American University, Chris Edelson, he considered that the battle was over and did not just begin and ended when the results were approved, and the president lost more than once before the courts.
