Berlin (dpa / bb) - During a bicycle demonstration in Berlin, the police prevented demonstrators from putting up posters and a banner on two bridges.

"Two women roped off during the demonstration on the Spinner Bridge," said a police spokesman.

According to a dpa photographer, they wanted to attach a banner to the bridge.

Accordingly, the forces held back the activists.

The police have initiated criminal investigations because of the dangerous interference with road traffic, as the spokesman announced.

15 demonstrators wanted to put up posters on another bridge, which the police said they prevented.

The demo alliance for climate protection from Changing Cities, Endegebiet and other organizations called for the bicycle demo.

Several hundred people drove over the A100 to the Dreieck radio tower against the expansion of motorways and for compliance with the Paris climate targets.

The demo was registered with 250 participants.

From there, the participants wanted to take another bicycle parade that had started at the Glienicker Bridge in Potsdam over the AVUS (automobile traffic and practice road) to the coal-fired power station Reuter West.

The A100 was partially closed in the morning because of the demos, as the traffic information center (VIZ) announced on Twitter.

The A115 was closed at noon due to the second bicycle demonstration.
