Several large employers have today urged all employees who have experience of anesthesia and intensive care to become temporary staff at hospitals, while retaining their employer's salary.

SAS, Saab and the mobile operator Tre are some of the companies that are now urging their employees to jump in and relieve healthcare.

- Early this morning, I was asked if we can make an inventory with us and find people with the right background who can relieve the care, says Haval van Drumpt, CEO of Tre.

During the day today, all employees at Tre have been informed that the opportunity now exists to work extra in healthcare for those who have the right experience.

"Unique chance to make a contribution"

The initiative goes under the vignette Beredskapslyftet and comes from the recruitment company Novare, which earlier in the corona spring got 300 laid-off SAS employees to quickly train and take jobs in healthcare.

- If we only get one employee who goes out and relieves a nurse on a shift, I'm very happy.

But I have no idea if there are ten, fifty or a hundred who will sign up.

But this is a unique opportunity to make an effort for the region.

I think we have an obligation to act, says Fredrik Hillelson, CEO of the recruitment company Novare.

The initiative so far only applies in the Stockholm region, and it is the region that decides who will be offered entry.

The company Tre currently has no idea how many of their employees will take on the proposal.

- I really hope that people will sign up.

We are about 1500 employees.

I hope we have people with the right skills who can step in and help, says Haval van Drumpt, CEO of Tre.
