China News Service, Yangzhou, December 11 (Reporter Shen Ran and Cui Jiaming) On the 11th, with the opening of the Lianyungang-Zhenjiang high-speed railway ("Lianzhen High-speed Railway"), the world's first high-speed railway suspension bridge-Wufengshan Yangtze River Bridge was put into operation at the same time use.

This is also the first kilometer-class suspension bridge in China to set up a full-line intelligent monitoring system and 5G base stations.

The Wufengshan Yangtze River Bridge has a total length of 6.409 kilometers and a main span of 1092 meters.

As the world's first suspension bridge for high-speed railways, the upper layer is a two-way eight-lane highway with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour; the lower layer is a four-line railway with a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour on the main line.

The lower layer was activated in advance that day.

Chen Ming, executive deputy manager of the Wufengshan Bridge Project Department of China Railway Bridge Bureau Group, told reporters that in view of the complex structure and difficult maintenance of the Wufengshan Yangtze River Bridge, the health of the thousand-meter-level highway and railway double-layer suspension bridge was applied in advance in the early stage of construction. Monitoring systems, intelligent maintenance equipment, intelligent manual inspection systems, intelligent fusion technology for building and maintaining integrated massive data, and other bridge transportation and nutrition maintenance technologies.

According to Chen Ming, the construction party has also developed an intelligent manual inspection system for the bridge to realize the electronic, informatization and standardization of periodic inspection data, and automatically score the status of the bridge based on the uploaded monitoring data to ensure real-time maintenance.

At the same time, six sets of 5G communication radio frequency wireless devices have been installed on the two transmission towers of the Wufengshan Yangtze River Bridge in the north and south. This is the first time that China has deployed 5G shared base stations on towers across the river.

“It can not only ensure the continuous smooth flow of 5G signals for passengers passing through Wufengshan Bridge in the future, but also for the future high-precision intelligent inspection of the bridge, the realization of driverless cars on the road on the bridge, the coordinated reminder of traffic conditions, and the automatic heating and removal of the bridge section in rain and snow. New transportation technologies such as ice provide possibilities." Chen Ming explained.
