China News Service, December 11th. According to the "Central News Agency" report, on the 10th local time, the US House of Representatives passed a week-long government provisional appropriation bill so that members of Congress have more time to discuss a new round of epidemic relief measures and avoid the government. An agreement was reached on the "shutdown" large-scale spending bill.

According to reports, on the same day, the House of Representatives passed the bill by a vote of 343 to 67, extending the current federal government funding until December 18, so as to prevent various government businesses from "suspending" after midnight on the 11th.

The US Senate is expected to vote on the 11th as soon as possible, after which the bill will be sent to President Trump for signature.

According to reports, this will give members of Congress 7 more days to pass a large-scale spending bill totaling $1.4 trillion.

If the current Congress fails to reach an agreement on this, the next Congress formed in January 2021 will have to clean up the mess before President-elect Biden is sworn in.

Regarding the epidemic budget, on December 9, a bipartisan group of congressmen finalized the main framework of a bill with a scale of 908 billion US dollars. However, the two parties still have differences on many issues.

The Republicans seek corporate responsibility guarantees, while the Democrats seek subsidies to state and local governments. These most difficult issues still need time to resolve.

Senate Majority Leader McConnell told the media, "We are still looking for ways to make progress."
