The decision that the police in southern Lapland should have night standby instead of night patrol gets the thumbs down from several Sorsele residents that SVT has spoken to.

But the police union is positive, and so is Magnus Norlund who is a police officer in Sorsele.

- I see no disadvantages with it, we worked like that before.

For my own part, I get tired and tired of night work now that I am older, says Magnus Norlund.

"Look at pines is pointless"

According to the police, the change will lead to more resources being released during the day.

- We get to work when there are more people on the move, it does not happen very much at night.

Going around and looking at pines is pointless.

In the clip, you hear the people of Sorsele's thoughts about the decision.
