Erfurt / Berlin (dpa / th) - Thuringia's Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow (left) is for a Corona period of rest after Christmas until January 10th.
Ramelow could imagine a nationwide lockdown during this time, said his spokesman Falk Neubert on Friday when asked in Erfurt.
The Thuringian head of government said to the "Welt": "It is of no use to me if a sharp lockdown is now demanded and the outbreak comes when we have celebrated Christmas together."
Ramelow reiterated his stance that regional action would have to be taken according to the number of infections.
“In the districts with a high infection rate, measures must now be radically tightened.

If Thuringia should reach a total of 200 infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days, "then all tightenings from our hotspot districts will be extended to the whole country," he announced.
