"On December 17, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will hold talks with Faisal Mikdad, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Compatriots Abroad of the Syrian Arab Republic, who is arriving in Moscow on a working visit," the Foreign Ministry said.
The parties will discuss topical issues of the international and regional agenda.
It is noted that the ministers will focus on the situation in Syria and the prospects for its development.
Topical issues of further strengthening cooperation between the two countries will also be discussed.
In November, Lavrov said that the Syrian settlement process is moving forward.
