Khaled Al-Nuaimi, President of the Fifth International Middle East Conference and Exhibition on Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine (Midam 2020), revealed the launch of a biological drug, the first of its kind in the Middle East, to treat eczema in children from the age of six.
He explained that the new drug is distinguished by that it can be given to children without the need for prior medical examinations, and with high efficacy, for severe and chronic cases, indicating that the drug obtained the permission of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, finally, and was announced during the conference.
He mentioned that the most important characteristic of the new drug is that it does not require medical examinations before giving it to children with eczema, pointing out that the conference also witnessed the launch of some innovative cosmetic laser devices in the field of dermatology and cosmetology, in addition to some valleys launched for the first time at the conference.
