It's been six years since Michelle adopted a dog that was tutored by a foster family at SPA.

Very happy with her experience, Michelle testifies at the microphone of "La Libre antenna" of Europe 1, to salute the work of the host families of the SPA who take the animals into their homes while they are being educated.

TESTIMONY

Six years ago, Michelle and her daughter adopted a puppy that was raised by a foster family at SPA.

She salutes the work, sometimes unrecognized, of these foster families who take in the animals of the SPA to educate them and increase their chances of adoption.

At the microphone of "La Libre antenna", on Europe 1, Michelle, who had never had a dog, explains that she was able to calmly adopt this puppy thanks to the work of the foster family who educated her.

“I have had three or four cats in my life, but never a dog. A few years ago, I lost my dad, so my daughter lost her grandfather. She told me she would love to good to have a dog. I was not for, the dogs scared me. One Saturday afternoon, we went to the SPA. I told myself that, anyway, when she saw the poor dogs in the boxes which are already a certain age, that would discourage her. But I wanted to please her, she had just lost her grandfather. We saw these dogs which were adorable, but which were old. We could see that they had been abandoned and that they had a lived experience.

When we left, we found ourselves facing a couple who had a baby dog in their arms.

Stupidly, I ask if he's theirs.

They tell me that they are a foster family and that this little dog is to be adopted.

So, we went for a walk with them.

She was two months old, she was so cute.

She galloped with her little ears blowing in the wind.

I didn't recognize myself, I broke down in ten minutes.

My daughter was happy.

When she left, she had been a little sad at first because she did not know what it was about dogs waiting in boxes.

So this little dog, we didn't expect it.

"

I cannot thank the host families and the SPA enough

"

These people explained to us what it is to be a host family for the SPA.

They educate the animals on cleanliness and behavior.

We noticed that they are doing a considerable amount of work.

Anna was educated.

We recovered her at three months.

When she got home, we had clean mats provided.

She must have taken two pees in the house, that's all.

They are very attentive.

The host family told us she was stubborn.

Six years later, she is still stubborn.

They had seen how she was and they gave us advice.

We got this little dog back and I fell in love.

We were told it was a 'griffin X', because we didn't know who the mother had 'messed with'.

She is 12 kilos, not a big dog.

She didn't reconcile me with the dogs, it's because it's her.

It's a little boil.

She kept her little baby face because she was sterilized.

It has been happiness for six years.

It's amazing.

I really admire the people who do that.

My daughter stayed in touch with them for a while to ask for advice.

One day, we met them quite by chance.

They are the ones who recognized us.

They asked us if Anna was still so stubborn!

I thanked them again that day because I couldn't have educated her baby.

She was clean right away.

I didn't know that SPA host families existed.

This is something very good, because it allows novice people like us to adopt.

They spend a lot of energy on educating animals.

It is a huge investment.

I want to thank these families.

When we see how we got Anna back, we suppose that they invested themselves in a prodigious way.

It must have taken them a long time and a lot of love.

In addition, they must become attached to these animals and they see them go.

But these are people who know what they are doing, and who are able to watch them go.

I cannot thank the host families and the SPA enough, because they do a wonderful job.
