Sinsheim (dpa) - At the age of 35, goalkeeper Philipp Pentke from TSG Hoffenheim makes his European Cup debut in professional football.

The ex-Regensburg player represents Oliver Baumann in the last and meaningless Europa League group game of the Kraichgauer against KAA Gent as announced by coach Sebastian Hoeneß.

The regular goalkeeper will be spared for the rest of the Bundesliga games this year.

Hoeneß changed the team almost completely compared to the 3-1 win on Monday against FC Augsburg.

Only defender Stefan Posch was back in the starting line-up.

Goal scorer Andrej Kramaric only sat on the bench, the midfield aces Sebastian Rudy and Florian Grillitsch did not even belong to the squad.

Hoffenheim has already been confirmed as the winner of Group L, Belgium's runner-up Gent as the last.
