Dresden (dpa / sn) - Despite a ban imposed by the city of Dresden on the “lateral thinking” demonstration on Saturday, the police are preparing for a large-scale operation.
The background is the fear that supporters of the movement will still travel to Dresden to protest against Corona measures.
Counter-events are also planned.
Police President Jörg Kubiessa assumed a nationwide mobilization of the “lateral thinker” scene on Thursday.
The demonstration will also be advertised in the hooligan scene in Saxony and neighboring federal states as well as in European countries.
In addition, the police expect a higher proportion of right-wing extremists.
«Participants in lateral thinking meetings consider not wearing mouth and nose protection and falling below the minimum distance as a form of protest. Based on nationwide experience, the Dresden police assume that the majority of the participants will also deliberately violate requirements and restrictions on Saturday, ”it said.
