He did not find the father, so he hit the son with a machete .. Arresting the aggressor of the Jordan boy

Today, Wednesday, the Jordanian security services arrested a man who assaulted a 15-year-old boy by hitting him with a machete on the head due to a financial dispute with his father, which led to his severe injuries.

A spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate said in a statement that "a report was received by the ambulance of a 15-year-old child to the hospital after he was attacked with a sharp object in the head area by a person while he was in his home in the Marj Al-Hamam area" in the capital, Amman.

He pointed out that the perpetrator came to the house looking for the father due to financial disputes between them, but he did not find him, so his son was beaten with a sharp tool on several areas of the head.

The spokesman pointed out that the authorities have arrested the perpetrator, "who is one of the first in criminal cases of theft, and had hid in a farm south of the capital."

For his part, the boy’s uncle confirmed to the Jordanian channel “Ruya” that “the attack took place at three o'clock in the morning while the boy was alone in the house,” noting that the latter “received several blows with a machete in his head while he was in a poor health condition and was lying in the intensive care unit after he He underwent a four-hour head surgery. "

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) condemned the incident.

"All forms of violence against children can be prevented," said Tania Chapuisa, representative of the organization in Jordan, stressing her support for "accelerating efforts and legislative frameworks to end all forms of violence against children in the country."

This comes less than two months after another incident that caused a shock in Jordan after a group of people had the hands of a 16-year-old Jordanian boy amputated and his eyes slit in revenge against his father in Zarqa Governorate, northeast of Amman.

The Jordanian security forces carried out a campaign after that crime, which resulted in the arrest of hundreds of wanted and suspected cases of intimidation of citizens and the imposition of royalties.
