The accident occurred in Ljungby municipality on county road 557 in June this year.

A 39-year-old man must then have driven too fast in a curve and ended up on the wrong side of the road - where he met a car and a head-on collision.

When the man was then taken to hospital, the police sampling showed that he had 1.4 per mille of alcohol in his blood when the accident occurred.

The 39-year-old has told in interrogation that he drank a hill with strong beer and a bottle of whiskey during the night before driving.

Several people were traveling in the oncoming car, but none of those involved in the accident sustained any serious injuries.

The man is now sentenced to two months in prison.
