Madrid will premiere in the spring of 2021 the most groundbreaking electronic music venue in the city.

Inspired by New York clubs, the rehabilitation works of the emblematic Príncipe Pío Station are progressing under the criteria of sustainability and digitization, which will mark the entire service chain of the complex.

The Carola Morena company,

which gives its name to the concert hall, is reconverting the spaces so that the old station

is a benchmark for leisure and culture and one of the engines of tourism in the capital.

Work on the project, in the heart of Madrid, between Gran Vía, Plaza de España and the Teatro Real, began before the pandemic and although work has been slowed down by the state of alarm, it is expected to culminate in the Spring 2021. The promoters set to work to rehabilitate the spaces, without touching the protected elements and maintaining its exterior, the magnificent façade of the North Station, a symbol of Madrid's communications and one of the hallmarks of the A city that

today generates a special relationship of empathy between the space and its future clients since the vast majority of them

use public transport and are aware of sustainability.

In this sense, the company is committed to led technology to achieve a reduction in its energy consumption in lighting that they estimate at 40 percent per year.

With this option, they

foresee a saving in the emission of CO2 into the atmosphere, as well as reinforcing the commitment to cutting edge technology to reduce energy consumption.

With their sights set on the spring of 2021, the developers have opted for low-consumption lighting in their work, thus responding to "our commitment to the environment and the technological avant-garde and to the satisfaction of our customers," they explain.

The action involves the implantation of tens of thousands of points in the room and the restaurant located in the tower

, which will guarantee a lower energy consumption in the more than 3,000 square meters where the latest generation light points will be distributed.

The measure is part of an environmental protection plan designed by the company to improve its operating process and which will also include

a modern and efficient air renewal system.

The company rehabilitates the spaces of the old Station, creating internal structures that preserve the spirit of the station, built at the beginning of the 19th century and classified as a singular building.

Inside, a state-of-the-art environment, with the most cutting-edge technologies;

on the outside, the essences of the old station that can be accessed directly from Metro de Madrid and Cercanías, a circumstance that will make the difference between Carola Morena and her competitors on the outskirts of the city.

The complex, where it is expected to have the main DJs on the international scene, also has a restaurant located in the tower, with impressive views of the city.

It has 1500 square meters and is expected to be a benchmark for traditional cuisine, with touches of distinction.

"We are aware that the sector is not experiencing its best moments now,

but we trust that next year, Carola Morena will be a unique space", affirm its promoters, who are already in contact with the main music companies to close artist dates international events for next year and even small concerts at the Teatro de la Estación recently.

"It is assuming a great effort but we have put all our enthusiasm and desire for Madrid to be the benchmark for electronic music in Spain

and the world. We believe that such a space was needed in the city," they say.

Both the room and the restaurant will share space with the Bankia Grand Theater, which raised the curtain at the hands of Luis Gómez,

inspirer of the project in the iconic station, whose transformation has included the comprehensive remodeling of the main lobby
