Cologne (dpa) - Concerns about Corona also dominate the children's Christmas wish lists for the Christ Child this year.
"This happens in about two thirds of all letters," says a spokeswoman for the Deutsche Post for the Christkindpost branch in Engelskirchen near Cologne.
"Corona is mentioned in almost every letter," says the head of the Christmas post office in Himmelstadt in Lower Franconia.
"Many children write that they are sad and miss their grandparents or meetings with many friends."
In the seven Christmas post branches of Deutsche Post, tens of thousands of letters from children from all over the world pile up during Advent.
According to the information, many classics such as Lego, Playmobil, scooters, balls, books, make-up items and handicrafts are among the “material wishes”.
