Madrid (AP) - Borussia Mönchengladbach's coach Marco Rose relies on Nico Elvedi in the starting line-up in the decisive group game of the Champions League at Real Madrid.

The 24-year-old central defender from Switzerland was last ten days out with a muscle injury.

Rose had taken Elvedi with him to Madrid in view of Borussia's personnel problems in defense, but left his assignment open today.

In the starting eleven for the last group game there are no other surprises for Borussia.

In Marcus Thuram, Alassane Plea, Lars Stindl and Breel Embolo, Rose offers his entire offensive warfare.

Jonas Hofmann and Tony Jantschke are still injured, Ramy Bensebaini is still out after his Corona quarantine.

The Gladbachers have to get at least one point at Real in order to survive the Champions League group stage for the first time on their own.

Madrid have to win to safely reach the round of 16.

At Real, captain Sergio Ramos returns, as announced, after his injury three weeks ago.

Toni Kroos is also in the starting eleven of the Champions League record winner.
