Hamburg (dpa / lno) - The dialogue forum “Schiene Hamburg-Altona”, agreed after the heated dispute over the relocation of the long-distance and regional train station Altona to Diebsteich, has started work.
At the constituent meeting by video conference on Wednesday, a feasibility study on the freight bypass railway was initiated, as announced by the dialogue forum to strengthen public transport in and around Hamburg.
The permanent forum is part of the agreement to relocate the Altona long-distance and regional train station to Diebsteich and was decided by the city, Deutsche Bahn and Verkehrsclub Deutschland.
According to the information, numerous local transport companies as well as passenger and mobility associations are also part of the forum.
The next plenary was agreed for April 2021.
